I am an Albuquerque-based jeweler and sculptor creating bespoke, one-of-a-kind pieces rooted in transformation, craftsmanship, and collaboration. Working from my New Mexico studio, I specialize in custom fine jewelry, sculptural metalwork, and functional objects designed to be worn, lived with, and passed down.

At the heart of my practice is a love of reimagining materials—reshaping precious metals, repurposing heirloom stones, and collaborating closely with clients to create designs rich with meaning and intention. My work can be experienced in Old Town Albuquerque at Teko Gallery, which I co-own with my husband, jeweler Johnny Renieris.

Inspiration

Every piece begins with a spark of inspiration, drawn from your personal heirloom or existing jewelry pieces. You will either mail your objects to us or bring them into the shop to consult with Alexis in-person.

Design

I’ll help you transform your ideas into wearable art, balancing beauty with meaning. As I prepare your new design, I carefully remove and repurpose stones and metal, creating a model for you to see and try on before we move forward.

Finishing touches

When your heirloom's transformation is complete, I’ll carefully package and ship your piece to you. The thoughtful blend of old and new in your custom design will bring joy for years to come.

Initial Consultation

We begin with a conversation. If you’re local to Albuquerque or visiting, we can meet at Teko Gallery; otherwise, we’ll connect over Zoom to talk through your ideas, style, and the story you’d like your piece to carry.

Material Selection

Together, we explore materials, gemstones, and design possibilities, choosing elements that reflect your style and feel right to you.

Wax Mold & Refinement

I create a wax model of your piece so you can see the design and try it on. If you’re nearby, you’re welcome to visit the studio, or I can ship the model to you to confirm the fit before we move forward.

Metal Casting & Stonesetting

Once the wax model is finalized, I cast your piece in the metal of your choice. Each gemstone is then carefully set by hand, with attention to both security and the stone’s natural beauty.

Finishing Touches & Shipping

Using a blend of traditional techniques and modern precision, I bring your final design to life. Once complete, you’re welcome to pick up your piece in the shop, or I can ship it to you.
